Personal
Doran D. Peters was born in Heidelberg, West Germany. He attended Southwest Texas State University (now known as Texas State University, much to Doran’s chagrin) graduating with honors and a B.B.A in Political Science. He then attended the University of Texas School of Law, obtaining his J.D. and Texas license to practice law in 2000. During Doran’s free time, he considers himself an amateur historian (with emphases on Roman and English history), a novice genealogist (focusing on his English heritage, which so far is documented to the 15th Century), biking on various Austin trails and jogging. Doran lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Anne, also a local attorney who works with the Texas Legislature, and their daughter, Eleanor.
